Buena Vista Campus Pastor

September 1, 2017

This last year has been a huge year of transition. As a family we launched a new campus in Salida and moved Leslie into the role of Buena Vista Campus Pastor. Leslie has met this new challenge head on and has done an extraordinary job in this season. I could not be more proud of Leslie and her passion to serve her church family particularly through being the Campus Pastor of Buena Vista.

So we are clear, Cornerstone hungers to enjoy God and enjoy community. We are a community that is passionate about heaven coming to earth and changing the spiritual culture of the communities God has called us to.  It is a true joy to revel in the Father’s scandalous and passionate love for us, our true identity in Christ, and a life lived through the Holy Spirit. With that said, our mission of enjoying community manifests in an expression that plays out in the communities in this region.

Although you live and serve in a local campus, Cornerstone lives out its passion as it extends ministry to the surrounding area. Leslie plays a huge part in this as she assumes specific campus roles in Buena Vista. I am discovering that although I remain as the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone, my particular gifts and vision require that I may at times launch a new campus or simply assume the responsibility of championing campus pastors like Leslie to be all that the Father has called them to be. You might ask, how does this effect me? Truth is, it really doesn’t. Although Leslie assumes specific pastoral oversite of our Buena Vista campus, we continue to serve Cornerstone as a staff. You may live and focus on a particular campus, and as a staff our heart is that you remain present and passionate in the communities God has you in. We are simply your biggest fans cheering you on and helping springboard you into all that God has called you to be.

It is in light of this that I want to take a moment to cheer on our second successful transition celebrating Leslie’s roll as Buena Vista Campus Pastor.  Thank you, Leslie, for your heart to serve! Thank you for your willingness to say YES! I am looking forward to a long and fruitful ministry celebrating His Kingdom.

Thank you Church family for being Leslie’s biggest fans. You truly make ministry a joy to do.

In Him,
