Church, know that I love you! Know that while I was on my sabbatical, I missed you all terribly. My time away was healing and refreshing, but also very enlightening. Thank you all for your prayers in my time of need. I truly felt them and I look forward, with expectancy, to the continued journey of linking shields and advancing the Kingdom of God together. This week I pray that our family will rest in the shadows of the almighty, that we will find refuge under His wings. May we say of the Lord that He is our refuge and our God in whom we trust!! We know that He will save us from the fowler's snare and the deadly pestilence. Though a thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand, none of it will come near us. We will only observe with our eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Because we love the Lord he will rescue us, He will protect us, we will cry out to Him and He will answer us, He will be with us in trouble, He will honor us and He will make known to us His salvation (paraphrased Psalm 91). I pray these words will encourage you today. I pray that they will help you in your journey of peace. I speak to the hostility in our lives and I pray that PEACE WILL RULE!! May the peace of God that transcends all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, I pray that we will allow the Peace of God to umpire our lives, let it call a strike a strike, a ball a ball, and to define what is safe and what is out! Remember, we embrace our journey of peace in the context of thanksgiving; may we thank God for our salvation; may we embrace it as we dwell in His word; may we find refuge in God’s words, as it is refuge from impending danger; and in all things, may we praise our God through prayer and worship. I believe as we do this, we will let PEACE RULE in our hearts!!
